Formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977, Def Leppard rose from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal to become one of rock's most successful bands. The group—Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell and Rick Allen—has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Its landmark albums Pyromania and Hysteria helped define its polished, hook-driven arena-rock sound.
Fans can look forward to familiar anthems such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Rock of Ages,” “Photograph,” “Hysteria” and “Animal.” The band's story also carries a remarkable note of perseverance: drummer Rick Allen continued his career after losing an arm in a 1984 car accident. Recent Def Leppard productions have featured large video screens, dramatic lighting and pyrotechnics, complementing the group's energetic, sing-along performances.
The announced lineup pairs Def Leppard with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts; specific set times and opening-act order have not been provided. The date is part of the band's long-running live activity, but no tour name has been confirmed for this 2027 performance. Salt Lake City's downtown setting makes the arena a central destination for concertgoers planning an evening out.
Delta Center is a major indoor arena in downtown Salt Lake City. Its varied seating arrangements offer different ways to experience an arena concert, from close-up views on the floor to elevated perspectives in the reserved seating levels. Exact section layouts and availability can vary for each event.
For a production built around big rock choruses and visual effects, consider seats with a clear view of the full stage and screens. Floor seats can bring fans closer to the performers, while elevated seats may provide a broader view of the lighting and stage design. Review the event's seating map when selecting tickets, since sightlines depend on the specific section and configuration.
Parking availability and prices can change, and no event-specific lot or rate has been confirmed. Downtown visitors can compare nearby public garages and surface lots before arriving; reserving in advance, when available, may help simplify arrival.
